pay less tax,

No one likes paying more tax than they have to, right? Which is why over 99,500 healthcare workers like you currently salary package with Maxxia. How does it work? Put simply, salary packaging means you can pay for everyday expenses including groceries, utility bills and mortgage or rent repayments using your pre-tax salary. Using pre-tax money means you could reduce your taxable income and with some of these expenses already taken care of, it could leave you with more money for the things that are important to you, giving you more freedom.

The Meal Entertainment benefit lets you salary package the cost of meals when you eat out, meaning you could save every time you dine with friends and family at restaurants, cafes, pubs, clubs and bistros. The $2,650 cap is over and above the cap for everyday living expenses, so it’s a great way to get even more from your salary. Until March 31, 2021 the ATO has also approved the use of the Meal Entertainment Benefit for takeaway and home delivered meals purchased from restaurants that, as of 1 March 2020 would have accepted your Meal Entertainment card, if you were able to dine in. This includes some meals ordered through delivery platforms such as Deliveroo, Menulog and Uber Eats, where they deliver for the permitted restaurants.*
*The Meal Entertainment Benefit has a maximum annual cap limit of $2,650. This will appear as a reportable fringe benefit on your Payment Summary each year which will be included in a number of income tests relating to certain government benefits and obligations. This cap is separate from the FBT cap limits for everyday living expenses.
Don’t work in a major city? On top of the capped benefits, you can also take advantage of a range of uncapped benefits.
