This salary packaging option is available to the following industries:

Separate to the School Tuition Fees benefit, staff who qualify as “overseas employees” – such as those working in Australia on a temporary 482 work-skilled visa – may be eligible to salary package certain education expenses for their children

Eligible Education Expenses

The cost of full-time education for a school, college, university or by a tutor for a child under the age of 25 years.

Important information:

You can only salary package educational expenses while you are on 482 working visa. You must inform your employer and Maxxia of any changes to your personal circumstance that may affect your eligibility to receive this salary packaging benefit. Failure to do so will result in you being responsible for any Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) that may arise.
