Fully Maintained Lease - Registration and CTP – What Can I Claim?
If you have a fully maintained novated lease, you can claim reimbursement for eligible vehicle registration and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance costs for your leased vehicle. To be eligible, the expense must relate to the leased vehicle, be incurred during the active lease period (including the lease start and end dates), and be supported by appropriate documentation.
What you can claim
- Vehicle registration costs for your leased vehicle.
- CTP insurance costs for your leased vehicle.
- Registration or CTP expenses incurred during the active lease period, including on the lease start date and lease end date (provided the expense was not included in original settlement amount)
- Costs that are clearly itemised and can be linked to your leased vehicle.
- A credit card surcharge where it is separately itemised on an invoice or receipt for an otherwise eligible registration or CTP expense.
What you can't claim
- Registration or CTP costs for a vehicle that is not covered by your novated lease.
- Registration or CTP expenses incurred outside the active lease period.
- Expenses that cannot be supported by documentation or clearly linked to your leased vehicle.
- Traffic infringements, fines, penalties, road tolls, or parking costs.
- Driver licence fees or renewals.
