Preparing for the end of the FBT year – 31 March 2012

The end of the FBT year is approaching fast on 31 March 2012. That’s why it’s important to ensure your salary packaging account is in order.

To meet your cap limit for the current FBT year and make the most of your available tax savings, you must submit all reimbursement claims to Maxxia by Monday 19 March.

Health and Charity employees only

Items outside your cap, including Meal Entertainment and Venue Hire do not need to be claimed by the end of March, so you can claim anytime!

It’s important that you use any funds on your Visa Salary Packaging Payment card by Monday 26 March to make sure they are included in the current FBT year. This will also ensure you can continue to salary package your full limit in the next FBT year.

Keeping on track with your novated lease

If you have a novated lease, you have until Monday 9 April to submit your final odometer reading as at 31 March.

Throughout the FBT year we ask you to lodge and monitor your odometer readings. It’s important to keep track of the kilometers you travel so that you meet your nominated annual kilometers.

It’s also important to review your account details online to ensure they are correct. If you would like to make any amendments to your salary packaging account, including changing scheduled payments and benefits, please notify us by Friday 9 March.
